Jackson Goldstone MTB Spawn Cycle Bike Check and Grom Interview

Name: Jackson Goldstone

Age: 12

Height: 4.7″

A rad moment from Crankworx? A rad moment from crankworx is when I did the pre-run for the pros on A-line. They let the winner of the Kidsworx invitational A line race go first before they send the Pro racers down. It was fun and a good chance to see what it’s like to race in front a big crowd.

How long have you been riding MTB? I have been riding since I was 2. I rode the run bike and BMX until I got my first MTB at 5

Have you or do you ever ride BMX? All the time. I started racing BMX at 5 and pretty much raced as my main sport until 10. We still race as a family but my Mom and Sister are into more than me. I have a park BMX bike that I still ride a bit, but it’s 16 inch so a little small.

What is your favourite place to ride? my favourite place to ride is Morzine in France or Woodward west in California. Where I live in Squamish is amazing too.

Best bike memory so far? I have a couple, 1.woodward west mega ramp jump, 2. landing my first backflip. I was super nervous before both those but it was so fun to do.

Next trick to learn? next trick is a 360 barspin, or “truckdriver” I have done them before, but not very consistently

Do you have an ultimate bike goal? probably to win Crankworx and Rampage in the same year. I think you need to be an all around rider to do that, like Brandon Semenuk

If someone was your age and wanted to start riding, what advice would you give? Get the best bike you can afford right away, even if it’s used. It’s cheaper in the long run.
